MATT RANDALL WINS #4 AT STERLING LANES

Matt Randall used a little luck and some clutch bowling to win his fourth Budweiser
Michigan Majors title at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights.
Harry Sullins, a Michigan Majors Hall of Famer, bowling in his first tournament in two
years due to bowling on the PBA Senior tour was the leading qualifier. Sullins rolled a
1478 six game score to pace the 91 entrants. There was one 300 game posted by Doug
Evans in the semi-final round.
The three game semi-finals produced a lot of jockeying. Sullins hung on to grab the 5th
and last spot of the stepladder. Randall used some clutch bowling with a 721 score to go
from 9th to 2nd.  Branden Dale went from a0 to 4th. The biggest jump was by Randy
Warnken from 13th to 3rd.
Dale won the opening match 205-195 over Sullins who left a wide open split in his 9th
frame. Warnken left two pocket splits as Dale moved on with a 207-182 win.
Randall had a little luck in the semi-final match. Randall. Randall broke up a split in his
9th frame. His 10th frame was also high on the head pin. This time he carried a strike for a
247 –216 over Dale.
The championship match was all Randall as he won 249-167, as Daher never got
untracked.
