                       RICK SCHULTZ WINS 3RD TITLE AT THUNDERBOWL

  Rick Schultz, Warren walked up the stepladder finals winning all four matches for his 3rd
Budweiser Michigan Majors title at Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park.
  Shane Dufrense rolled a 300 and 299 game for a 1563 six game qualifying score to pace
the 94 entrants. Charles Weigt also had a 300 game in the qualifying round.
  Rick Schultz started with the first seven strikes in the opening match of the stepladder final
for a 259-203 over MMBA Hall of Famer Joe Manor.
  Schultz started the next game with an open frame against another Hall of Famer, Ken
Wyatt.  Schultz closed with eight strikes for a 258-227 win.
  Schultz stayed in the 250 rut in the semi-final match with a 258-206 win over Randy
Warnken.  The Championship match was all Schultz as he defeated Shane Dufrense
248-155 for his 3rd title.
  “This is just amazing,” said Schultz. “It’s been 10 years since my last win. I never thought I
would win again at my age.” Rick is 55 years old.
  The next tournament will be held on February 19 at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Hgts.
